Releases August 20: How Do I Sign Up?

On August 20, all users will be prompted to begin using Next-Gen ConsignCloud to help us build the future of resale and consignment software (you will log in to Next-Gen with your current login credentials). While Next-Gen is an evolved version of our software, you will find the navigation and workflows familiar. It should not require new training.

Users are not required to use Next-Gen ConsignCloud; stores can keep using Classic ConsignCloud. However, future software developments and new features will be built for Next-Gen.

Give Feedback and Help Us Shape the Future of ConsignCloud

We will be rolling out updates quickly, so please give us your feedback for Next-Gen ConsignCloud on our feature request and community platform, ConsignCloud community (also available on August 20). ConsignCloud Community is a platform where you help shape the future of our software. Users who want to access ConisgnCloud Community will be prompted in the ConsignCloud app on August 20th as well.

How Will Next-Gen Work?

Whether you're using ConsignCloud Classic or using Next-Gen, everything you do stays in sync—data is securely saved and shared across both versions in real-time. You can switch back and forth without missing a beat or worrying about lost data. The new design is a fresh way to work, but it’s still the same reliable ConsignCloud underneath.

Why the Redesign?

Because the people using ConsignCloud every day deserve software that works with them, not against them. This update puts ease-of-use, efficiency, and convenience front and center. You will spend less time clicking and more time doing what matters.

Ease-of-use

We've carefully arranged the software's navigation to be more intuitive. This is beneficial for both new and experienced users.

New users of the software (new hires to your stores) are going to need less coaching and the features are more discoverable instead of being hidden under layers of menus or inconspicuous buttons. Instead, they are readily seen and invite the user to interact; with thoughtfully placed navigation elements, clear call-to-action buttons, and a logical information hierarchy that guides users smoothly through the application.

The improved design also benefits experienced users as they will benefit from a more streamlined interaction flow, consistent interface conventions, and thoughtful feature placement that reduces friction and speeds up routine tasks.

Speed and Efficiency

To make using the software faster and more efficient, we've made core features and tasks only one or two clicks away at all times. Clear visual hierarchy, consistent UI components, and well-placed call-to-action elements combine to help users accomplish their work with confidence and speed.

Faster Improvements

The new design enables the ConsignCloud team to add feature improvements more rapidly. Following the initial release and a phase for collection of feedback, users can expect an increased rate of software improvements.

While we will regularly update Next-Gen as we gain feedback from our users, we have already refreshed the frontend experience with powerful new tools and quality-of-life improvements. Here are just a few highlights:

Point of Sale (POS) Enhancements

• Apply discounts to individual items or the entire sale without clicking into each item.

• Easily update item quantities directly from the POS.

• Customize your workspace with an editable quick actions bar.

• Click on a SKU to access full item details instantly without redirecting to the Inventory page.

Inventory & Reporting Improvements

• All reports are exportable, including Sales and Payouts Summary.

• Fields are customizable in inventory entries—clean up or remove irrelevant ones.

• Improved dynamic filters for faster data handling.

• Sharper search functionality in Inventory and Accounts—find exactly what you're looking for.

• Bulk status changes now support donation or return-to-active actions.

Cash Management & Payouts

• Tills are now part of the Register, so you can manage cash drawers without enabling Multi-Location.

• Add fees to consignor payouts directly in the system.
