How to set up your Shopify consignment store with ConsignCloud

In ConsignCloud, go to Settings → Apps and find the Shopify eCommerce app. Click "Integrate Shopify" and follow the steps to connect your account.

What is a Shopify consignment app?

A Shopify consignment app connects your consignment store management software to your Shopify storefront, so inventory, sales, and consignor balances stay in sync between the two systems. ConsignCloud is built specifically for consignment and resale stores — meaning it handles things like consignor splits and single-quantity inventory that Shopify doesn't account for on its own.

Do consignor splits calculate automatically for Shopify sales?

Yes. When a consignment item sells through Shopify, ConsignCloud treats it exactly like an in-store sale — the consignor's balance updates and the split calculates automatically based on the terms you've already set. No extra steps, no manual adjustments.

Can I use ConsignCloud's Shopify integration if I only sell online?

Absolutely. ConsignCloud works for online-only consignment stores. You manage inventory and consignor accounts in ConsignCloud, Shopify handles your storefront, and the integration keeps both in sync — no physical location required.

Does store credit or gift card data sync to Shopify?

As of Q1 2026, store credit and gift cards managed within ConsignCloud don't sync to Shopify. If a customer has a ConsignCloud store credit balance, that's redeemed at the point of sale inside ConsignCloud, not through the Shopify checkout. Syncing Shopify store credit gift cards is a highly requested feature so we hope to be adding it soon!

Do you support Shopify variants?

ConsignCloud is designed around unique, single-quantity items — which is how most consignment inventory works. Full variant support isn't available right now. If variant tracking is central to your operation, get in touch and we'll help you figure out if the integration is a good fit. You can also read the detailed breakdown in our Help Center article.
