Who we are

ConsignCloud LLC ("ConsignCloud," "we," "us," or "our") provides software for consignment stores, vendor malls, and similar businesses. Our registered address is 504 S. Main St, Moscow, ID 83843. You can reach us at support@consigncloud.com.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to three groups of people:

• Visitors to our marketing website

• Store owners who have signed up for a ConsignCloud account

• Consignors and vendors whose information is entered into ConsignCloud by stores or by themselves

If you are a consignor or vendor, please note that the store you work with is responsible for how your data is collected and used within their account. ConsignCloud stores and processes that data on their behalf.

What data we collect and why

If you're a website visitor

When you browse our website, we automatically collect basic technical information — things like your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and how long you spent on each page. We use this to understand how people find and use our site so we can improve it.

We also run advertising through Google Ads, which uses cookies to track whether you visited our site after seeing one of our ads.

If you're a store owner

When you create a ConsignCloud account, we collect:

• Your name and email address

• Billing information (processed securely through Stripe — we don't store your full payment details)

• Information about how you use the software (features used, frequency, etc.)

We use this to run your account, provide support, send you product updates, and improve ConsignCloud.

If you're a consignor or vendor

When a store uses ConsignCloud, they may enter information about you including:

• Your name and contact information (such as your email address)

• Information about items you've consigned or sold

• Payout information (processed through Stripe if the store uses integrated payouts — we don't store full banking details)

If your store has enabled email notifications, ConsignCloud may send you emails on their behalf — for example, to let you know that an item has sold. You can ask your store to turn these off.

Third-party services we use

We work with the following third-party services that may receive some of your data:

Google Analytics 4 — helps us understand website traffic and usage patterns. Data is processed in the United States. Privacy Policy | Opt Out

Google Ads — allows us to run and measure advertising campaigns. Data is processed in the United States. Privacy Policy

PostHog — helps us understand how people use our website and app so we can improve the product. Data may be processed in the United States. Privacy Policy

Intercom — powers our customer support chat and communications. Data is processed in the United States. Privacy Policy

Stripe — processes ConsignCloud subscription payments from store owners. We don't store your card details — those are handled directly by Stripe. Privacy Policy

We don't sell your personal data to anyone, ever.

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and app. These fall into a few categories:

Necessary cookies — required for the site and app to function. These can't be turned off.

Analytics cookies — help us understand how people use our site (Google Analytics 4, PostHog). You can opt out via your browser settings or the opt-out links above.

Marketing cookies — used to measure the effectiveness of our ads (Google Ads). You can manage these through your browser or via the Digital Advertising Alliance (US), YourOnlineChoices (EU/UK), or DAAC (Canada).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you close your account, we'll delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, unless we're required to keep it longer for legal or financial record-keeping purposes.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. That said, no system is completely secure — if you have concerns, please contact us at support@consigncloud.com.

Data breaches

If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected users and, where required by law, the relevant authorities, within the timeframes required by applicable law.

Children

ConsignCloud is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

For everyone

You can:

• Ask us what personal data we hold about you

• Ask us to correct inaccurate data

• Ask us to delete your data (subject to any legal obligations we have to retain it)

• Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send

If you're in the European Union (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data

• Correct or update inaccurate data

• Request deletion of your data

• Restrict or object to how we process your data

• Receive your data in a portable format

• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

The legal bases we rely on for processing are: your consent, the performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate business interests.

Where we transfer data outside the EU, we use standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission to ensure it remains protected.

If you're in California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how we use it

• Request deletion of your personal information

• Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we don't sell personal information)

• Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

If you're in Virginia, Colorado, Texas, or other states with privacy laws

We extend the same core rights — access, correction, deletion, and opting out of data sharing — to residents of all US states that have enacted consumer privacy laws, to the extent required by those laws.

Third-party integrations

ConsignCloud allows you to connect your account with third-party platforms such as Shopify. When you do, your use of those platforms is governed by their own privacy policies and terms of service. We recommend reviewing those policies directly.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll let you know by email or by posting a notice in the app. The date at the top of this page always reflects when it was last updated.
