Creating an Item

Adding inventory is one of the most common tasks you'll do in ConsignCloud, and the Add Item form is built to make it quick.

Filling out the form

Start by selecting the Account the item belongs to — this fills in defaults like Inventory Type, Terms, and Split automatically. From there, fill in Category, Description, Brand, Color, and Size; ConsignCloud uses these to build the item's title automatically, though you can always type your own if nothing quite fits. Add a Price, and a SKU will be generated for you automatically.

Once you save the item, it's live in your inventory and ready to be tagged and sold.

A few helpful details

Photos

Photos help you find an item if it ever gets separated from its tag, and they sync with Shopify if you use ConsignCloud's e-commerce integration.

Suggestions

Keep an eye on the suggestions that pop up as you type — ConsignCloud learns from your past entries in fields like Category and Price to make future ones faster.

Locked Fields

If you're entering a group of items all from the same account or with the same attributes, you can lock a field and the form will keep the same information as the previous item.
