Setting up Taxes

ConsignCloud lets you build taxes specific to wherever your store is located.

Creating a tax

Head to Settings → Taxes → New Tax. Name your tax, decide whether it's included in the tag price or added at checkout, and set the rate. You can make it so that the tax can only be applied manually or so that it applies automatically using Category or Tag rules as well as rules based on price ranges and specific registers (or locations).

Exemptions and edits

If you have any items that you don't want taxes to apply to, you can mark them as Tax Exempt during item creation or click on the item and set it as Tax Exempt in the Point of Sale.
