Sales Report

Knowing exactly how much money came in, where it went, and why is essential to running your store — and the Sales Summary is where that starts.

Reading the report

Go to Reports → Sales. At the top you'll see the Sales Overview graph, comparing your selected date range to an equal prior period — pick "Today" and it compares to yesterday; pick July and it compares to June. Below that is the Sales Summary, broken into expandable sections: Revenue (Gross Sales, Discounts, Refunds, and Cash Rounding Adjustment), plus each of your taxes itemized separately. Click the arrow next to any line to expand it.

Payment Types and Sales by Category

Further down, Payment Types shows how much came in through each payment method, with refunds already subtracted — hover over any bar for exact amounts. Sales by Category shows your top 10 categories by sales, refunds and discounts included, so you can see what's actually moving.
