Customizing Your ConsignCloud POS

The POS screen can be customized to suit your store's needs, from what shows up on screen to how layaway sales work.

Shortcut layouts
Head to Settings → Point of Sale → Shortcut Layouts and click "+" to create a new layout. From here you can name the layout, choose which quick actions appear (like Taxes and Discounts — remove any you don't need from the three-dot menu next to their name), and add frequently-sold items as Item Shortcuts along the side of the screen. You can set a layout as your default POS or assign it to a specific register — handy for creating a seasonal layout around the holidays.

Layaway sales
To turn on layaways, go to Settings → Point of Sale → Layaway and toggle it on. Set an expiration date, the minimum percentage due up front, and any reminders you'd like sent. Once enabled, starting a layaway is just like a normal sale: add items, click "Pay $," toggle on Layaway, and add a customer. Enter the minimum payment due and click "Apply," then "Save and Close." To finish a layaway later, find the sale in the Sales Table, click "Resume Layaway," and complete the remaining payment like any other sale.
